"Navigare necesse est" even for a gardener.
I adore and love my garden, but if you have the great benefit of living in the archipelago of Stockholm (with some 20.000 islands and rocky islets), you just have to hop on board and go sailing even if you are a deep-rooted gardener. However before I go on board I take a round in my potager and bring loads of stuff with me.
We have a full kitchen on board the boat and cooking at sea is great fun and the food tastes so good after a days sailing. I bring a lot of fresh food with me and vegetables, herbs and spices from the garden, the tomatoes are not ready yet but I guess I can start harvest in a week or two.
~~~Det är ju så att man slits mellan hav och land så här års, det är ju så fantastiskt underbart att få segla ute i skärgården c:a 20 000 kobbar och skär att njuta av! Om det inte fanns polska intensiva lågtryck så hade det varit perfekt! Ellerhur? 32mm regn på en timme...
What great fun, Tyra ... sounds like a perfect summer day ... as good as it gets!
There is nothing like being out on a boat in the summertime. I miss having the opportunity to do that. You make it all so much more enviable by taking your garden with you. Enjoy these wonderful days Tyra ~ we can always blog later, right? Your watercolor rose is outstanding too.
Wonderful post! You are making me envious -- I haven't been out on the water in ages.
Hi Tyra, you really know how to travel in style with both flowers and fresh veggies! I would go sailing with you anyday! :-)
