Vertical Garden in the Ladies Room

When I visited the Garden Fair in Stockholm last weekend I had a wonderful time. There where so many gorgeous flowers, plants, pots, greenhouses and people to look at and admire but what really cought my eye was a 'vertical garden', a wall in the 'Ladies'. Absolutely stunning!

As I got home I looked up Vertical Garden and found Patrick Blanc.. just look at this

Very inspirational...:-)....hm....now where can I build a vertical garden?

Fantastiska skapelser. Har sett en husfasad av växter, man tror knappast det är sant.
Ha det gott

Absolutely beautiful! I have seen some of Patrick Blanc's work in Paris and always want to see more. It is just such a fantastic concept.

My Godness! What a wall! Some year I will visit Stocholm Garden fair. It´s in my "places to visit" dreams list and most easy to make real. Others are Chelsea flower show, Monet´s garden in Giverny France etc.. :)

That is stunning Tyra. I would be totally distracted looking at that gorgeous wall and forget all about why I went into the Ladies room! I hope you find somewhere to build one.

How's your spring going?? Good, I hope. I haven't been blog hopping as much as before so I've missed you.

The first vertical gfarden I ever saw was in the foyer of the building where our national writers association office was, in Toronto. It was a massive planting of orchids, ferns, foliage plants, and thriving nicely. When I got too annoyed during board meetings I would go down and sit on the ledge by the living wall and just relax. They're wonderful, indoors or out, but not for everyone's budget, that's for sure.

This wall is wonderful. I have seen vertical garden walls outside but never inside. How clever. I, too, would love to find a way to have this for my house or garden.

Kære Tyra,

Ja, det er da utroligt, hvad man finder på. Hyggeligt at være på besøg igen. Det er alt for lang tide siden.

Wow, it looks stunning, Tyra. I can't imagine anyplace around here that would put that kind of time & expense into gardening near a ladies room! It must have been quite beautiful in person!

Thats so beautiful! I'd love to walk into my washroom (or any room for that matter) and be confronted by all that greenery... I may never leave!
I've seen pictures of vertical gardens before but this one looks so lush.

Vertical gardens -- Patrick Blanc (France), to INKA (Haiti and the Plastiki boat), and now Tyra's visit in Stockholm -- are popping up everywhere! We visited one this week on the playground fence of Sanchez Elementary school in San Francisco. We are growing up and using all of our resources!

Thanks for the nice story and beautiful visuals.
