Prosperous Garden...Yes please!
Well one can always dream can't I?
- It is so exciting to open this 'book' and turn the page to a perfectly blank unwritten sheet and start a brand new chapter of the Tyra's Garden story. I say welcome to the growing season of 2011; I have so many dreams and plans...no gigantic plans and project rather a lot of ideas how I can achieve a prosperous garden. Both when it comes to the beauty aspect, but perhaps even more important to get a sustainable, flourishing and 'tasty' potager that gives me a good yield.
During 2011, I have plans like to build new cold frames, a ladder for the apple trees, plant more ornamental grasses and last but not least I would also like to make plans for more winter gardening. I would like to stretch my growing season although I haven't got the solutions to that issue yet. I got this book by Eliot Coleman Four-Season Harvest and after reading a few chapters I was hooked on the idea!

January the first
I have this song in my head today and I think it is a great song for the first day of the rest of my life.

Happy New Year, Tyra. Sounds like you already have some good gardening plans for 2011.

Always Growing
Your growing season must be much shorter than ours here in the UK but I wonder if your longer days mean that plant catch up quickly. I hope your plans to extend the growing season work
Indeed it is! Happy New Year, dear Tyra!
A happy new year it is indeed. I like the idea of no major projects, just small manageable ones (if something bigger happens, I'm okay with that). All the best to you, my friend across the ocean!
Happy New Year Tyra. Your blog is so beautiful.
Plans are half of gardening aren't they? Happy New Year!
