Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. Seed is the small embryotic......

PhotoHunt small. Small is this weeks theme.
Seed - a very small most amazing thing. The seed is the small embryotic stadium of a plant.
Once upon a time there was a very very SMALL seed,
that grew into a very SMALL plant that grew into.....
a huge, old tree.....
...like this one the Giant Ash, can you see the small cow? Actually... she was a he and not very small. As a matter of fact he was a big terrifying bull.

This is a post of mine from last year, it is called - I'm so unimportant and small - that feels so good. It's in Swedish.

TYRA

Nu är det en vecka kvar till Julafton! Har ni handlat alla era julklappar? Bakat? Städat? Pysslat?....eller....

It's amazing isn't it, what can grow from tiny seeds. Even that giant bull was once a tiny seed and a tiny egg. ;-)

No more problems with content thieves, Tyra?

Hello Tyra, I Think there are more Eucalypts grown worldwide now than in their native land. Nice to see the Mountain Ash growing. In the mountains here they grow so tall and regal as the botanical name implies. Our tallest living one is 322ft (approx 100m) I think there are about650 species of eucalypt growing native here. I have lovely book by Stan kelly who was a train driver and traveled the country exensively he has painted water colours of leaves and flowers of 250 species. This genus really reflects the essence of our country. Are the trees on your post an Australian landscape or is it somewhere else? Anyway Tyra it's lovely to see.

Yolanda, the problem is solved for the moment :) The thieves took it away from the GrowSpot, thank god for that, it really made me mad!
Roybe thank you for stopping by again, yes the trees are from your beautiful and amazing country.
