Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. Fun! I wouldn't have this sort of pruning in my garden, but that's okay--I love them in unusual settings like this, and since i'll never go there...thanks for sharing them!

Great Fun Tyra. Years ago I saw elephants like this near Disneyland California. They had bears too and other animals as well.

Those are well-kept topiaries! I visited a topiary garden this past summer, in Columbus, Ohio. I enjoyed seeing them.

Someone in the neighborhood next to mine (where I walk most every day) has a giant topiary rabbit, at least six feet tall. At Christmas the rabbit wears a crown and a sign that says, 'Merry Christmas'!
The Thai elephants are really much nicer.
