Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. GREEN

I just love the colour of green, don’t know why but I do. I think the love for the colour green grows with time; I mean I didn’t think about it when I started out with gardening a long time ago. Then the flowers and the colours were much more important. Today I think more of the foliage, the structure and the different shades of green. C’est très important n’est-ce pas ? Don’t you agree ? Grün, GRÖN, Green ....Vert - C'est formidable

Delicious green for the inside.

Green leaves in all kinds of hues, blueish, yellowish, greyish - GREEN

Jo då jag håller med! Grönt är skönt och bladverken viktigare än blommorna. Men tyvärr lever jag inte alltid som jag lär...

Ha en fin påsk! Kram Karin

Green is basic and you are right that liking of this color comes with time :)
I liked your antidepressant pills :)
I needed one yesterday, so I got on bike and was biking around for 1 hour, then taking measures of one part of the garden and checking state of each plant - another 2 hours and then 1 hour bath in herbs and I was brand new in the evening! :))
Happy Easter Tyra.

Great post Tyra! You are right ~there is something about the colour green~even more so this time of the year! When I first started gardening I never even gave green a thought~I was all about the flowers & the colours of them! Now I have beds of just green, & when I pick a plant for a certain area or bed, I look to see what shade of green the foliage is..yes the foliage is the background, but can be the focal point to! I still have people visiting my garden walk right by my foliage beds of green, or not notice how beautiful a lambs ear is or the leaves of a hosta..boy, they don't know what they are missing..do they..?! I love the lime~greens & the blue greens, yes green~a very important colour! :)
Great photos!
