Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. Blossom and blooms in my garden just now. Thousands of tiny blossoms of plum, apple, pear, cherry and crabapple adds splendour to my garden now in this glourious month of May.

Blackthorn Prunus spinosa

Buds and blossoms of Apple

The magnificiant fragrant Malus silvestris var. parapisiaca tree is in full bloom right now and in the evenings it fills the air with a most wonderful scent.

Pears at the top 1. Bartlett (also called a Yellow Bartlett, known as the Williams outside North America) 2. Red Bartlett (organic; presumably a Red Williams in other countries) 3. Red Bartlett (several distinct varieties are called "red bartletts"; not sure store's name is correct but that's what it was labeled) 4. D'Anjou 5. Bosc (organic) 6. Comice 7. Concorde 8. Seckel (they really are that small relative to others) Pear picture and text from Wikipedia

Oh, så vackra blommande fruktträd. Påminner mig om min barndoms sommarhus i Sverige! Ha en trevlig helg! Kram Ingrid

/Ruben

The blossoms of fruiting trees are so lovely in their simplicity. Plus, every one of those flowers could turn into something delicious, so the enjoyment is now and in the future as well. Fragrant blooming trees - the best! Happy late May to you.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comment, I think we can all agree that is a wonderful plant and very soon the flowers are gone but still the foliage of this plant is so very lovely too.

Have a great day my friends/ Tyra

Vilka härliga bilder du visar, speciellt bildkollaget med växthuset nere i vänstra hörnet, kan det bli mer vår än vitt växthus och vita blommor!
Titta gärna in hos mig och gå in i min nyöppnade nätbutik!
Glad vår önskar Växthusmadam

Your blossoms are so lovely. Our trees bloomed months ago, and we have fruit which are getting bigger every day. In fact, the peaches should be ripe any day now. Amazing how different our climates are.
