Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. A Beauty or A Beast?

Well they say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
this TOMATO 'Cherokee Purple' grown from seed is of course kind of beautiful in my eyes... but I must admit as they said about Whoopi Goldberg in Color Purple.
...
- You sure 'is' ugly!
...

This tomato weighs a massive 506 gram and that is about 17,85 ounces!

I started out with this fellow in February, read about how it all started here

Dave at the home garden is sponsoring an ugly tomato contest. This might be in the running for it for sure:) Personally, as long as it tastes good-I'm cool with the warts.
