How to Make a Moisturizing Herbal Balm - Lemon Verbena

~~~
I found this video and I thought it could be a nice gift for Christmas. It looks rather fun to make it too, I'm gonna have a go.
How to make a lovely moisurizing herbal balm with Lemon Verbena, Aloysia triphylla.
- I wish they could have better music...I think it is a bit annoying.
Lemon verbena, Citronverbena in Swedish and you say Ning meng mao biao cao - if you speak like one billion 365 thousand others do (mandarin) :-) Picture from Wikipedia.
You could use other plants from your herbal garden. I have plenty of Lavendula augustifolia and Calendula officinalis in my potager so I'm going to try to use some of those plants (dry herbs). Some time hm...long time ago I made bath salt and Rose water and Lavender splashes - Making Scents
Good luck with the cooking!
That was informative. Lemon balm must be very nourishing for the skin. I am gonna try the method and will let you know of the benefits:)
Great gift idea Tyra. I need to start earlier in the year on making these wonderful homemade gifts. Once December hits, I run out of time. This would be excellent tho. Let us know how it turns out.
I don't make things like this, but partly because there are a couple of small local businesses who do lotions, bath salts, etc, using real lavender and other herbs, and I love their products.
Thank you, Tyra, for your supportive comments on my blog. They mean a great deal to me.
Thanks for the vid Tyra, now I have to buy some new citronverbena as mine died last year. And you are right about that music. ;-)
BTW I've bought a Mora klok so now every time it chimes it reminds me of all my swedish garden blogger friends.
Kram,
Tara and Yolanda
Tack för härliga tips. Önskar att jag tog mig mer tid till att fixa sånt här själv, men jag använder ju i och för sig inte köpta krämer heller. Så jag kanske är lite förlåten. Så härligt att läsa dina inlägg, men jag kan ju inte hitta bloggen på svenska längre. Har du ändrat eller har jag slarvat med letningen. Visserligen bra för mig att öva upp engelskan igen men jag hakar upp mig på ord och då kan jag inte njuta på samma vis av inläggen. Ha en fin kväll. // Peter
Kom på att den svenska kanske var på TB?? Så det kanske kan förklara varför jag inte hittar den nu. // Peter
Haspet - så är det, tyvärr ligger den där. Vi får se vad som händer med TB. Jag vill ju ha en på svenska i alla fall.
