This post October Harvest from my Potager - Tabbouli was originally uploaded by Tyra Hallsénius-Lindhe in the blog Tyra's Garden
Late October and yet I can still harvest from my potager.
We have had some nights with frost and we have even had snowfall. So I’m rather amazed that I could harvest these things today. From todays harvest I’m going to make Tabbouli a herby Lebanese bulgur salad. For this dish I need a lot of parsley, 2 tomatoes, some mint and 2 small onions from my potager addition to that I need bulgur, lemon juice, olive oil salt and pepper. It would be nice to add a pomegranate too but unfortunately I have got that so I have to cope without it.
Aubergine, Rocoto pepper, parsley, Cherokee purple tomatoes, Poblano chili and Chervena Chushka pepper
To drink with my Tabboulli
I’m going to have a cold Rose, apple and mint tea,
an October Harvest Tea!
Apples, mint and Roses from the garden.
It is Harvest Monday at Daphne´s place do pop over to Daphne and meet the rest of the guys,
but first...
Don't be a stranger my friend
Do write something, I would just love to hear from you./ Tyra

Vilka underbara höstbilder. Visst är det lyxigt att kunna gå ut i trädgården och hämta in skörden.
Bon Appétit!
i am amazed all you are still harvesting, lovely photos~
I'm impressed with your warm weather crops harvested even after frost and snow!
Enjoy your tabbouli!
I can't believe you still have tomatoes up in Sweden. Are they from your greenhouse?
I think a rose, apple, mint tea is a lovely idea.

Hi Mary, yes the chilis, peppers and tomatoes are from my greenhouse. I had an amazing 10 degrees Celsius there today :-)
Lovely post and a beautiful blog...I shall visit again!
Så gott det ser ut... blir säkert mums på tallriken också. Saknar verkligen ett växthus....
Ha´t himla gôrgôtt
Nina
What a colorful harvest!! The tea sounds awesome too.
Your Tabbouli sounds yummy! I need to make some while I still have tomatoes.
You are so fortunate to be able to harvest, and those apples look delicious!
Oh, now I am craving some tabouli! Some people make it with more wheat than parsley, but I like it with lots of parsley and less wheat. You have some pretty colors to add to it!
The bulgur salad sounds absolutely delicious! You are a getting a great harvest considering your weather - good work!

Snygg blogg du har!!!
I can't believe you are still getting things like peppers and tomatoes. They look wonderful.
A family favorite, dear Tyra. You are blessed to still have all the goodies to prepare it.
Vackra bilder.
