This post 'Tropaeolum majus - Nasturtium' was originally uploaded in Tyra's blog 4 Garden Geeks Tyras Trädgård/Tyra's Garden
Today's Flower is my watercolour painting of a Nasturtium that I made today.
A very useful plant it is both beautiful as well as an excellent trap crop in my potager.
"Nasturtiums are also considered widely useful companion plants. They repel a great many cucurbit pests, like squash bugs, cucumber beetles, and several caterpillars. They have a similar range of benefits for brassica plants, especially broccoli and cauliflower. They also attract black fly aphids, and are sometimes planted in the hope of saving crops susceptible to them (as a trap crop). They may also attract beneficial predatory insects" wikipedia

Intressant, och vad duktig du är på att måla. :)
That's a wonderful watercolor. I like to grow nasturtiums and I put them in salads. They taste a little bit like pepper.
I adore nasturtiums ... you are oozing with talent, dear Tyra!
Beautiful.
You're a great painter.
Vad vackert du målat! Inte hade jag någon aning om att du målade. Jättejättefint!!! Tack för att du visar!
Förra inlägget: ja, det är bäst vi passar på att njuta av snigelfritt medan vi kan!

Nasturtiums are a great favorite of mine. They offer a painter such a bright and colorful palette of colors to paint with.
