My potager garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö, Resarö is situated in the inner part of the archipelago outside of Stockholm. Tyra´s Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination.
Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. About me: Enthusiastic amateur gardener and photographer from Vaxholm, Sweden. Designed and built my Greenhouse and Potager in Tyra's Garden 2003. I´m back!

I´m back! Fwjooo! Sailing is hard work... It is so VERY nice to be back with both feet on the ground and my hands in the soil...hmhm...dirty... I like it. I think it took me less than 2 minutes to put on my straw hat and garden shoes. But do not get me wrong, I love sailing! We have had a wonderful time at sea. The cruising has been fantastic, extremely good winds for sailing....... 475 nautical mile...more about this trip on Navigare necesse est! The Head Gardener is back! on track? BUT it's a jungle out there.
In my Potager I have a wild but strict order among all my vegetables, herbs and flowers. Eleven days at sea and there is a "jungle"! Armed with two scissors, one in each hand ( like Edward ), I'm ready to attack.
Tyra's Garden, July. The Artichokes stand tall. (Green globe)
A few hours later there is....hope.
Tänk att efter ett par timmars arbete, tja kanske en dags arbete i alla fall så är det rätt fint igen...Two days since we came home to our harbor, Engarn and I can still feel the sea! But it's a nice feeling, because it reminds me of all the precious moments. Special moments, like this one in the picture. The sailing of the day is done and so is the evening meal and the washing up. Time to finish the last of the wine, watch the sun set in the west and then plan the route for tomorrow. South, north, west....

Have a really nice day!

Nice to have you back! And dont you worry about the jungle. Atleast you were away. It´s a real jungle here and I have been here all the time!! This moisty weather makes everything (unwanted plants first)grow! Happy battle!
