Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. Friday

Margerita is the Latin word for pearl.

En liten bit av Mexico i Tyras Trädgård.

T.G.I Friday and the weekend is coming up. I love Mexico, mexican food and mexican drinks. One of my absolute favorite is the Margerita cocktail. There are a lot of recipes how to make the perfect Margerita (not as many as the perfect Dry Martini of course) This is how I make it.

1 lime - 1 Tequila - 1 Triple sec

Easy enough? 1 part is about 5 cl/person. Now to the 'hard' part. The Margerita should be served in a coctail glass with a salt rim. Take a small plate and poor out salt on it, then take a piece of lime peel and moisten the rim of the glass with the lime, turn it up side down into the salt. Add crushed ice shake the drink and pour it gently into the glass. Voilá!

This is not from Tyra's Garden of course, this is Mexico, Tulum one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Have a nice weekend...and cheers!

Det finns en hel del Opuntia, som klarar sej ute i Sverige, bara de får tak på vinter, tål inte för mycket fukt.
