Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. The climate in these parts is quite demanding as the northerly winds can be strong and cold. THIS BLOG 'Tyra's Garden' is not entirely a gardenblog it contains much more. Cydonia oblonga - Quince Marmalade

This post 'Cydonia oblonga - Quince marmalade' was originally uploaded by Tyra Hallsénius Lindhe in the blog

Some argue that the Quince was the 'apple' Eve got in the paradise, could it be possible ?

Some people say it was. It is a very exciting fruit with an exceptional and exotic fragrance and taste. Stunningly beautiful and very photogenic too, don’t you think. I wish to get a plant into my jardin de potager this year, maybe I can get hold of one here in Sweden, otherwise I just have to go and abroad to get one. (Wishful thinking)

You can see how the flower of the Quince looks like here in another post about Quince, Cydonia oblonga

Hi, Tyra! That little jar of marmalade looks so appetizing. I will keep my eyes open, and next time I see quince for sale, I will make your recipe.

I have never tried quince before Tyra! Your marmalade is so pretty, and I'll look for quince in the stores in the future.
