Tyra's Garden is a small garden on the island of Resarö situated in the inner part of the archipelago near the small town Vaxholm, outside Stockholm. Tyra's Garden is mostly an ornamental vegetable garden, my potager. But flowers are of course an important ingredience, for beauty and pollination. Happy Faces of May

Today's Pictures - Happy Faces of May.

Viola

This is the time of year my garden luxuriate with pansies. I have them everywhere, I have my "happy faces" in the greenhouse as well as in the potager. I think this one is stunning, very spectacular, almost gross.

After an amazing and truely enchanting April I must say that May has started really bad, for the season, it is frightfully cold. But I'm glad to say that they predict better weather for the coming weekend. Let's hope so!

...and now to a less "vulgar" Viola, a very sofisticated lady in black.

Happy Gardening!

WOW,Tyra! Vilket tjusigt foto på Lady i Black, den gör sig så bra med växthuset i bakgrunden! Smart photograper you are!!!

I love violas and these are 2 lovely ones...our spring has been wet and cold so we are very behind with plants...even birds are nesting just now...I hope it warms up soon for you.

Så rätt! Minipenséer och andra små violer är absoluta favoriter här hemma hos mig också. Utan deras färgglada små ansikten hade jag inte överlevt våren känns det som.

Love, love, love these beauties, Tyra. I must surround myself in pansies each spring. Our April was horrid and May predicted with lots of rain. Two weeks behind, I'm still embracing the joy the spring. Happy Mother's Day, dear friend.

Violas do indeed have happy faces. Lovely.

I love black violas but they are hard to site in the garden where they don't get lost. Yours are just beautiful. I'm always glad for a peek into your greenhouse.
