Papaver in Tyra´s Garden

Papaver "in floribus", it is June in Tyra´s Garden. Poppies everywhere!
I just love this flower. Delicate yet strong and the colour, so bright....oh, wonderful. The seed capsules of the Papaver are also extremely beautiful.

Ox-eye daisy (Leucantheum vulgare) and Poppies (Papaver)

Have a very nice day!

Vero, Ja visst kommer jag ihåg Poppy day, kallas också Rememberance day.
Poppy day is a day to commemorate the sacrifice of veterans and civilians in World War I, World War II, and other wars.

quu, yes I do grow all colours but red is definitly the number one.

Hi Tyra,

I came over to thank you for your nice comment on my blog and I'm delighted from your pictures here and that you write in English too! Especially your fantastic and beautiful white Greenhouse is a feast for my eyes! I was always wishing for a Greenhouse like that a bit Victorian looking! I love yours! That picture of the poppies blooming in front of the Greenhouse is so very pretty! I'll be back! Best wishes! Carol x

I love poppies! They look so beautiful in your garden. I had planted few in a row in my garden three years back and now the poppies keep popping up in spring without any decent effort on my part.

Så vackra bilder, även knoppen är häftig.

What a lovely sight in that last pic! Poppies are lovely. Red and orange ones are like fire in the sun.

Stor artikel i The Guardian for nagra veckor sedan... Stolligheter!

Jag langtar tillbaka till den harliga soffan i vaxthuset efter luncherna har..

Love that combination of ox-eye daisies and poppies, eventhough orange is NOT my colour. ;-)

Daisies are great, I love them to bits. Even one of my cats is called Daisy! :-D
